How would a laser plasma accelerator with industry beam quality look like ?

In an article just published in physicsworld Prof. Carsten P. Welsch from the University of Liverpool/Cockcroft Institute discusses some of the particular challenges linked to laser plasma accelerators. The conceptual design of such a novel machine is the research focus of the EuPRAXIA consortium.
