Ludwig-Maximillians-Universität München

The Ludwig-Maximillians-Universität München is one of the leading universities of Germany. It has developed unique expertise in laser driven plasma wakefield acceleration, both in the theoretical domain (the so-called bubble regime was proposed in Munich) as well as in experiments. The activities are performed in collaboration with the Max-Planck-Institute for Quantum Optics (MPQ). At present, a large new experimental infrastructure is being set up in Munich, including high power lasers, beamlines and several application areas.
